I hate being both busy and bored. I have been unemployed for almost a year (which sucks!)  and would think that I would have time for my art work because of it. Well, it turns out I still don't. Even though I don't work at a job I am constantly trying to find work since I finished school back in March; without success. My cat has had one dental surgery and is having another this coming Friday.... poor girl. I have also started a cricket farm project. Hoping I'll have a few baby crickets in the next few weeks since they started laying eggs the moment I put them in a 8 gal tank with plenty of soil. (My two fire belly toads, Okeer and Shiagu

I found a cicada nymph on the mat in front of my backyard door tonight. I couldn't believe it was there unable to really move as it was stuck in its molting phase. So I brought it in and placed it in my unused tadpole/frog habitat. Then I started to look up all the info I could on them. Found some surprising facts such as they live anywhere between 13 to 17 years and most of that life they spend as nymphs (almost beetle like in looks, think cicada without wings and you get the idea) living deep underground sipping at the sap and fluids of the roots of trees. Seems lately I have little time even though I have been out of a job for nine months. Sigh...it seems longer to me though.  I hope that I will have time soon to do something fun. I haven't even had time to sketch out ideas or update old ones! You would think that even while cat sitting I would have time. Though most of my time has been spent looking for a job and not getting anywhere with it. At least I still manage to survive.
